Lunar Outpost has been selected for a new In‑Orbit Demonstration (IOD) mission to support the launch, integration, and on‑orbit operations of our Thermal Architecture Components.Â
Â
This mission represents a major milestone in advancing next‑generation thermal technologies for space applications, enabling more resilient systems and more capable spacecraft operations in the harshest environments.Â
Â
The IOD/IOV program is funded by the European Commission and implemented with the support of the European Space Agency. We’re proud to contribute to this effort, accelerating innovation, strengthening the global space ecosystem, and bringing cutting‑edge thermal technology to orbit.Â

About the European CommissionÂ
In the field of space, the EC manages the EU Space Programme resting, amongst others, on Galileo, Copernicus and the future IRIS2Â constellations, and carries out other initiatives to support the competitiveness of the EU industry. One of them is the IOD/IOV initiative, through which the EC offers industry, universities or scientists the opportunity to fly their innovation/experiment into space for demonstration or validation. The experiments can be stand-alone or ready-to-fly satellites. The services offered include the aggregation on a satellite, if needed, the launch and up to one year of operation. The initiative, financed by the EC, is implemented by ESA. So far, more than 90 experiences have been selected and some of them have already been launched. Â Â
